At uni we were lucky enough to have Tori West come in and talk to us about her experience in the outside world. Tori is the editor Of bricks magazine, she set the magazine up when she was just a student and has been carrying it on ever since. The magazine covers: fashion, style, music but in a really diverse way. She made it very clear to us that there had to be a political or strong meaning behind the work otherwise she would not include it and she wants Bricks to be formative and make people think. I think what she does is really inspiring as she has a small team who work free and she has to have a job as a cleaner on the side to keep the magazine going which I think shows how passionate she is about the magazine!

I’m Abby and I am an 18 year old who is currently studying photography at degree level at Leeds art university. I have done photography since I was young and have also got an a level in photography. I have a passion for fashion photography but also explore other genres. Outside of photography my other passions include football and other sports and also music, I attend as many live gigs as I can.
